"I credit two things with changing my son's life for the better when he was 6. One was lego, and the other was Reading Recovery. In his first year at school, he was reading at red level the entire year. We then changed schools as we moved house and he was picked up for Reading Recovery immediately. His teacher was wonderful at communication and giving us things to support him at home. He became motivated, engaged, and grew to love reading independently. He loved it so much he had to take books to school for the next several years. One day he took 17 books in his bag. Now he is reading so well he just obtained an honour's award at his intermediate for doing so well in reading. He reads every day and still loves it. Thank you Reading Recovery!
